If you're about to buy a MacBook Pro, it may be worth waiting a couple of weeks to see the new models. Pricing and chips aren't confirmed, and Apple hasn't announced this second launch.
Per the report, as relayed by MacRumors and 9to5Mac, the October 27 launch covers four products:
Apple has confirmed a "Welcome home" event for Tuesday, October 13, at 9 a.m. ET, expected to focus on the smart home.
Today's MacBook Pro has a Liquid Retina XDR display, 14.2 or 16.2 inches, with ProMotion refresh rates up to 120Hz, and none of the models take touch input.
Reports differ on the processors. In June, MacRumors cited Gurman saying the OLED model would stay with the current M5 Pro and M5 Max rather than move to M6.
This is opinion, not fact: if you need a MacBook Pro for work today, a rumor alone shouldn't hold up your purchase.
