If you're shopping for a luxury EV, the iX4 puts 400-plus miles of range and truly fast charging in a coupe-style SUV. It starts about $8,000 above a Tesla Model Y Performance, and sales begin in March 2027.
The iX4 is the electric successor to the gas-powered X4 and the third car on BMW's Neue Klasse platform, after the iX3 and the i3.
The battery is 112.2 kWh, on an 800-volt architecture that supports charging at up to 400 kW. BMW says you can add up to 184 miles of range in 10 minutes.
The dash has a 17.9-inch central touchscreen and a 43-inch Panoramic Vision display across the base of the windshield.
The iX4 50 xDrive costs $4,700 more than the iX3 50 xDrive, according to Electrek.
US sales start in March 2027.
