If you are a Netflix member in Brazil or have family there, existing subscribers pay the new prices too, with an email notice about a month before the first higher charge.
The ad-supported plan got the biggest percentage hike, while Premium got the biggest increase in reais.
The ad-supported plan gives you Full HD (1080p), two screens at once and downloads on two devices. It includes ad breaks, and some titles are locked because of licensing.
There is no single date. Per Showmetech, Netflix says in its help center that it emails members one month before the first adjusted charge, so the timing differs by account.
Standard members can add one extra member who lives outside the household, and Premium members can add up to two.
It depends on how you watch. If you watch alone or on two screens and do not mind ads, the ad-supported plan saves you R$ 26.00 a month compared with Standard, or R$ 312 over twelve months.
